Fishing Reports
The weather has gotten cold and the stanleys ice off paste is in the vest. Have to keep those guides from freezing up on a big fish. They have been running water in the mornings during the peak power times. But the fishing has been really good. Had two 25 inch rainbows caught sunday by two customers. Friday we had the water all to ourselves for about 3 hours and the fish were biting every thing you threw at them pretty much. Didn’t have to change to many flies. Except the ones we broke off. Flies of late have been.
Fly Box:
small scuds in size 16-22 tan, grey or sowbug
WD-40’s in size 18-22 grey, or cinnamon
woolies in size 14-10 white, or olive
Make sure you dress in layers for the conditions this time of year. And a good pair of windstopper gloves. If you are warm the fishing is alot more fun and enjoyable. Still some really nice fish still up here. Despite the cold weather.
