Fishing Report

Well, honestly not much has changed lately. Still very warm and running water on no real consistant schedule. Generally on around noon or so and running till dark, with the exception of today and yesterday, when there was one running rather early and a second one turning on around 9 am.

Dry flies have been very successful lately. I have been using an Adams, a mosquito, and a little new pattern we’ve been experimenting with. Scud patterns, Adam’s bug, WD-40’s and small woolies have also been a great fly pick. Even when the water is running we are catching some larger fish on sculpins. Speaking of nice fish, there has been quite a lot of 19″-20″ rainbows and browns, being caught, and the girths on these fish are really amazing. It won’t be long before the large rainbows start moving up to begin their spawn, and then the time of year we all dream of, will begin…. the annual big brown run!
