Fishing Report
I hope everyone is on the river enjoying the weather. The fishing has been going great the past week. The only challenge still remains to be the high water level. Fishing from a boat is still the best way to produce large numbers of fish. We have been producing larger fish this week as well. As far as fly selection…the typical nymphs such as scuds, san juan worms, and egg patterns. You can also produce fish on a few dry flies such as the turantula and the big ugly. There have been several fisherman down at the water, but there are still good places to fish at just about any given time. The mornings and evenings are of course the better times to fish, but fish of course fish are produced during the afternoon. These fish are getting nice and healthy for their spawning run coming here in a little over a month. I hope everyone is getting as excited as I am about this coming fall.
