The water has been down the past few days giving all of us fisherman a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having. The rainbows have been into their second spawning run so we have been seeing some huge rainbows. The fishing as far as numbers of fish has been flat out impressive. The fish have been feeding on our new ice shrimp, egg patterns, soft hackles, and small midges. I don’t like to use 7X when the big spawners are around, but it has been working much better with the water off. Oh yeah another thing to try would be woolly buggers. I’ve heard several reports from guys off the stream that had good luck with them today.
