Update
Well they did shut off all the flood gates (again) last week. But they are still running all 4 generators all the time. Table Rock Lake is getting very close to pool and it should not be too long before they will be shutting off the generators. Of course Beaver Lake is still up about 8 feet as it dumps into Table Rock, but barring any heavy rainfalls, the end may be in sight!
I have still been out on the water with guide trips, most everyday. On todays trip we actually landed 1 brown, which is the 1st brown I have seen in a week. Also 2 of the rainbows we landed were dropping eggs. Which it is pretty late in the season for that. I’m not seeing any huge browns, but we have still been catching quite a few fish. Scuds, behind a San Juan or an egg pattern has been doing the best. We also have been fishing some midges and emergers with good responses. Did I mention the weather ? It has been great the last 2 weeks.
The whites have been running again on Table Rock, and the small mouth are biting well too.
Its always an option!
