Fishing Report

For those that don’t mind a little cold weather the fishing has been great! The water is still running 4gen but the tailwater level is more like a heavy 2gen. The official reading this morning was 706.9. It has been desolate on the river the past couple days, but the guys who did fish had a great time. So dress warm and get out and enjoy the river to yourself! You wont regret it. There hasn’t been anything really new as far as fly selection. Your general taneycomo high water flies are still your best bet…. Ice shrimp, scuds, san juan worms, chamois worms, wd-40s, and the adam’s bug. As far as tippet I have been using 7x flourocarbon, but you can still use 6x in the higher water I just seem to get more strikes on the 7x. Well hopefully I’ll see you on the water today…..Good Luck!
