Fishing Report

Well it has been a while since I’ve updated the report. Not really alot of changes either. They have still been pumping out the water, although not much at times. Beaver started running on Tuesday with Corp run releases. They need to get rid of 6 feet or so. So that dumps into Table Rock Lake. It has come up about 1 foot since the start Tuesday. But we are still a couple of feet under pool. The dam has stepped it up to 3 generators at times. So you won’t be wading out real far, but maybe, just maybe they will get a better hold of the situation, so we don’t experience a 3rd year of high water.

Now for the Trout….. We have been out 3 times this week. 2 waded trips, and 1 boat trip.
Fishing has been very good! We have landed several fish, and even a couple of good sized ones too! We have been doing well on several patterns of course scuds, egg patterns, but the ice shrimp and adam’s bug have been working the best. We have also been catching some fish on sculpins from the bank….but make sure they are heavy enough to get to the bottom. With the sculpins I’ve been throwing 4x flourocarbon otherwise use 7x with nymphs. Usually 5x in the boat. Tonight we caught some on big ugly dry flies which was fun for something different.
