Fishing Report

Well we did get in some fishing time below the dam with the water off this week. On Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday, there was no generation from aprox. 11:30am to 3- 3:30pm, and also off around midnight till 5 am. Sunday and Monday it was insane at the numbers of fish landed. Sunday we fished strickly streamers, mostly bunny sculpins. Not because thats all the fish would take, it was just plain enjoyable!! I really think it would not mattered what we put on.
A couple of rainbows were over 20″. I saw one surface that would of been 6-7 lbs.
Table Rock Lake is finally getting close to pool. Which should be giving us some days with no generation.
Yesterday it was back to mostly outlet fishing for most. I know the fish wanted much smaller scuds–20’s and some guys even down sized on tippet to 7X, and had lots more hits.

This next week is the FLW tournament on Table Rock. Best of luck to all!
Spring break is not far off, hope everyone can make it down.

Fishing Report

The fishing has been doing well the past week. The water hasn’t been cooperating completely, but Wednesday the water was off most the day giving fisherman some great opportunities. With the water up most of the time the access is limited but the fish have been very opportunistic lately. Another great part of fishing this time of year is the low fishing pressure. The fish tend to really notice and it’s obvious. Lots of rainbows are making the spring run an are definately showing up in force, but we haven’t seen very many of the big rainbows that we are expecting. Beaver Lake is finally getting down to power-pool, and Table Rock Lake is about a foot high as of this moment. Hopefully that translates into low water…SOON! I know there’s a lot of us out there that think it’s not a moment too soon either.

Fly Selection
Scuds
San Juan Worms
Ice Shrimp
Adam’s Bug
Woolly Buggers
prismatic emergers

Hopefully everyone can get out there an enjoy themselves. You can’t catch the next state record dreaming of him at home in the easy-chair….Good Luck Everyone.
