Fishing has been great here on Lake Taneycomo with water being off everyday this past week. The weather has also cooperated the last 4 days too. After we got 4″ of snow or so on Thursday, temps have been fairly decent, in fact yesterday it was around 50.
Had a guide trip out the other day and we caught lots of fish on an ice shrimp, and we also fished a sculpin with great success. I can’t say enough about how great it is to fish here this time of year. There is not any fishing pressure, and the colder temperatures really do increase the trout activity.
Other hot patterns lately are:
San Juan worms
Two tone Taneycomo Zebra midge (a brand new super effective pattern)
Scuds in gray or brown.
