Fishing Report

Well, it’s been a while again since I updated this, but I’ve just been extremely busy. On the water everyday guiding lately, we are trying to get out as early as possible before the heat of the day. Fishing has been great! Not any great changes lately other than we haven’t caught the high numbers of little trout, but the ones we are hooking are much larger than normal.
Water has been running everyday for about 3 weeks now. In the mornings the water has been running at a lower level though, but its usual cranking after 8 am. Table Rock is at 919.8. Summertime pool is 917.0. Really glad to see it dropping. Barring any heavy rains we should be set perfectly for a great time this fall for the huge browns. Just can’t wait…we saw another gentleman hook and land a nice brown I’m guessing around 10-11 lbs. last week, and we have landed a few nicer browns lately. Definately nice to be catching some already considering it’s been hard pressed through most of the year to even catch a small brown below the dam. Make sure and stop by on your way to the river and we can make sure everyone gets an updated menu for the choice flies/super-secret flies! Everyone here at the store wishes you all a great day and great fishing.
