The last couple of weeks I have been on the water nearly everyday with trips, not giving much time for fishing updates. But really not a whole lot has changed recently. On yesterdays float, it was a little slower than it has been recently, even thought we missed a lot of bites. The trout aren’t hammering the fly, just a light hit mostly. We still caught plenty. The weather was a little cool starting off but it sure warmed up fast.
I think we are starting to get used to having the water off quite a bit lately too. Kinda back to what we deem normal. Its pretty difficult to not find off water time.
We have been fishing a lot more midges lately too. Especially ones with a tungsten bead. Scuds, it has been the little ones, 20’s or 18’s. Wooly buggers stripped fast towards the bottom is still working too, along with soft hackles, cracklebacks, and micro’s.
