Fishing Report

Yesterday afternoon I definitely saw more browns, while on a wading trip. In the morning there just weren’t near as many browns swimming around.

Of all the fish caught, there was 3 really nice browns. Mark had a really huge brown on, but after a couple of laps it wrapped around a rock and broke off.

We were actually throwing some larger sized flies with very great success.

Fishing has been pretty good over all.
Very little generation too

Top Fly Picks:

#12 gray scud (caught the big one on)
possum brown scuds #12-#20
brown san juan worm
pink san juan worm
Peach egg patterns #12
Flash zebra #18
copper rusty or copper black zebra #18
Micro jigs in white or peach
rabbit sculpins
olive woolies in #10

Fishing Report

This again has been a very busy week. I have been out everyday fishing Taneycomo, wading and in the boat.

On Weds. we actually dry fly fished the whole time, from the boat. Lots of fish were landed! It was really fun doing that! They only ran water for about an hour that day. Thursdays trip was out of the boat also, but we fished with a mix of things. Seemed like every so often you had to change your flies. Lots of fish were caught too. Really nice numbers! We did see a really huge 30″ plus fish on that day.

I have heard reports from a couple of the locals the last couple of days, of sightings of some very nice sized fish too by the outlet areas.

You will need to add some warmer layers as the big change in weather has hit us today. Much cooler..50’s and maybe frost this weekend?

The Dam has not been running much water at all. A little bit (1 generator) here and there. Table Rock is down 7 feet from pool.

There are still quite a few people that don’t realize that felt soles are banned here, so I am including a reminder!
