Fishing Report

On Taneycomo, fishing has really been good lately. I have lots of pictures posted on our facebook page: “Anglers Outfitters.”
There has been even some X-Large ones landed lately. On yesterdays morning trip the first fish landed was a brown. And it was a really nice one too. I think we had 12 hook ups on the first drift. Also they are not being real picky on fly patterns either. We are doing very little changing.
You could put on 3 different flies, and they all would hook fish.

This past weekend the water was off the entire time. Yesterday and today it was off at midnight till 8am and then ran the rest of both days. Today they started 2 generators right at 8am and are close to 4 right now. So when they are running so much water, a boat is a much better option.

Top flies have been:
With the water off or running:

flash midge
rust midge
white micro grubs
scuds

When the water is completely off try:
Cracklebacks
soft hackles
red ass (hot one yesterday)
big ugly’s
griffiths gnats
caddis

Last night we went out on Table Rock bass fishing for a while. We caught some nice bass and even a crappie.
Tubes are still working. And drop shoting. Even tried out the ned rig.

On Bull Shoals the strippers are the hot topic. My buddy showed me a picture of a 50# one landed last week fishing from the shore.
