Our full service fly shop is conveniently located on Highway 165 by the entrance to the trophy trout area on Lake Taneycomo. This Trophy area, which is next to the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery, produces some of the largest rainbow and brown trout in the lake. The average size rainbow trout is 15″ to 18″. In the fall months, When the brown trout are spawning, huge trophy fish are caught. Lake Taneycomo’s waters are clear and cold with the water temperature averaging around 45 F degrees year round. The tailwaters just below Table Rock Dam do fluctuate according to power demand. The informative and expert staff will help set you up for one of the most memorable days of trout fishing you’ve ever had. Our local knowledge of the lake is unequaled. In addition, we have a great selection of fine fly fishing tackle and accessories here in our shop. It doesn’t matter to us if you’re a beginner, an expert or somewhere in between. Fly-fishing is our passion and we hope it becomes yours as well. We custom tie all the hot local flies daily, right in our store, which will ensure that you will always have the right patterns.
